New Books

Some exciting new books have just arrived at the Library:

Girl of the Moment, Lizabeth Zindel
Fifteen-year-old Lily has a lot to learn when she spends the summer working as the intern of a spoiled and powerful Hollywood starlet. A fun insider's view of celebrity life!

Peak, Roland Smith
Dare-devil mountain-climber, Peak Marcello (14), decides to scale the Woolworth Building and lands in jail. To save him, his long-lost Everest-trekking dad appears with a plan for the duo to make a life in Katmandu--and for Peak to become the youngest person in history to climb Mount Everest.

The Invisible, Mats Wahl
A small town in Sweden is embroiled in a mystery when one of its own becomes a missing person. One day Hilmer Eriksson walks into his high school classroom and finds that he has become invisible. He soon learns that something terrible has happened: he has been declared mssing. Detective Harald Fors arrives to investigate his disappearance, and the teen remains by his side. A very suspenseful read, soon to be released as a movie.

Feels Like Home, e.E. Charlton-Trujillo
Following the death of their father, seventeen-year-old Michelle's older brother--who had disappeared six years earlier--returns to their small Texas town where, with the help of S.E. Hinton's "The Outsiders," the two siblings try to find a way to move beyond a past tragedy.

Eagle Blue, Michael d'Orso
Did you love Friday Night Lights? Eagle Blue follows the Fort Yukon Eagles, winners of six regional championships in a row, through the course of an entire 28-game season, from their first day of practice in late November to the Alaska State Championship Tournament in March. D'Orso follows the players, their families, and their coach over the course of an Arctic winter of fifty-below-zero temperatures and near-round-the-clock darkness as the Eagles criss-cross Alaska in pursuit of their—and their village’s—dream.

Girl of the Moment, by Lizabeth Zindel would be fictional.

Peak, by Roland Smith would be fictional and adventure.

The Invisible by Mats Wahl would be fictional, suspense, and adventure.

Feels Like Home, by E.E Charlton-Trujillo would be fictional.

Eagle Blue by Michael D'Orso i think would be non-fiction. It also would be about sports.

The book that I think that I would most enjoy to read is Peak by Rolland Smith becuase it seem like an action filled adventure.

Based on the synopses I think that Girl of the moment is realistic fiction. Peak is realistic fiction/adventure. The Invisible is fiction. Feels Like Home is realistic fiction and last but not least Eagle Blue is non-fiction.
